The hardwire network card worked perfectly with the WRT54G router. I could no longer ping my router. Type winipcfg in a DOS window. I will disable the ethernet card and see if that helps the wireless adapter setup. Windows 98 doesn’t know about wireless networks so it doesn’t expect the settings to change how they do. I will poke around in there some more. I use AVG virus “update” to access the internet, and that can’t connect to get an update, outside of any browser.

I’ve tried a bunch of things without success. If you’re asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. I just wonder if it will help. I confirmed connectivity to my router, via the software and a ping. Your favorite shows are back! Also what browser and version are you using? I can ping my WRT54 and any computers connected to the router as well.
